Scientific Computing ABOUT THE HNRCA We are one of six human nutrition research centers in the United States supported by the Agricultural Research Service (ARS), the research arm of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). We operate through a cooperative agreement between the USDA and Tufts University which began 40 years ago. Our research follows the mission of the USDA to explore the relationship between nutrition, aging, and health. A majority of our scientists, researchers from Tufts University and the USDA, hold secondary academic appointments within schools at Tufts and other universities.
